The commitment to a greener future.
Minimizing our ecological footprint, to try to make the world a better place, has become not only an important but also an increasingly necessary challenge. For this reason, MEC has decided to undertake a corporate sustainability path aimed at progressively reducing the environmental and social impact of its company.
Environmental sustainability
Our corporate sustainability plan is based primarily on sensitivity towards the resources we have and that the planet makes available to us.
We have installed a photovoltaic panel system which will allow us to work using clean energy produced directly in our factories.
We carry out a thorough inspection of waste sorting, paying attention to the correct sorting of waste and trying to avoid wasting resources.
The material for packaging our shipments is made of regenerated plastic because we believe in reuse and the circular economy.

Trentino Tree Agreement project
MEC’s environmental sensitivity goes further the production activity, taking the form of actions aimed at caring for the territory where the company is based.
Mec supports the project Trentino Tree Agreement of the Autonomous Province of Trento and actively adheres to the forest reforestation initiative, aimed at repairing the damage that the VAIA storm caused in the region.
With this sensitivity, the company has also joined the “Adopt a hive” initiative, adopting two in Trentino. Mec thus stands in support of another important issue for the ecosystem: the survival of pollinating insects.
Employee well-being
In addition to external actions, MEC’s sustainability also addresses the well-being of its employees, paying particular attention to continuous training, safety in the workplace, the adoption of welfare strategies, and entering into agreements with local entities.
In addition to this, MEC is proud to have among its employees many volunteers from the Fire Brigade, an association that it actively supports through donations.
